SnowTally

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Short version: SnowTally has no accounts, no analytics and no cookies today. We collect as little as possible. The site is meant to be funded by display advertising; ads are not shown yet, and this policy will be updated before they are.

Who we are

SnowTally is an independent website operated from Sweden. For anything about this policy or your data, email hello@snowtally.com.

What we collect

We do not have user accounts, analytics or advertising cookies; the only personal data we keep ourselves is email sent to us and, for privacy requests, a short record that the request was handled. We do not sell or share personal information.

Advertising

SnowTally is intended to be funded by display advertising. No ads or ad technology are on the site yet. Before any ads go live we will update this page, name the ad provider, describe what data it uses and how you can opt out, and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Why we process it and on what legal basis

SnowTally is operated from Sweden, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. We process hosting and security data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We process email you send us on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you and handling any correction you ask for (Art. 6(1)(f)). For privacy requests, we process your email and keep the short record described above to meet our legal obligations under the GDPR (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Service providers and transfers

Cloudflare, Inc. may process this data, including email passing through Cloudflare Email Routing, in the United States and other countries. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and our agreement with Cloudflare also includes the EU standard contractual clauses. Email we receive is stored in Gmail, and Google may process it in the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing and to receive it in a portable format. You also have the right to object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests. Depending on where you live, including several US states, you may also have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. Email us at the address above; we will answer within one month and will not treat you differently for asking. SnowTally is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

Supervisory authority

Because SnowTally is operated from Sweden, our supervisory authority is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), imy.se. You can complain to IMY or to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes

If we add advertising, analytics or anything else that changes how data is handled, we will update this page before that change goes live.
